Warm up properly before the shoulder exercises

You should not forget that the shoulder muscles more or less consists of three parts, namely the front, back and middle shoulder. Exercise this evenly, otherwise it can quickly lead to muscular imbalances, which can lead to other problems such as pain or poor posture.

1. Barbell shoulder press from behind the neck

2. Barbell shoulder press front

As already read before, barbell training as an exercise for the shoulders is really the "best shoulder exercise" that there is in my eyes. With no other exercise have I built such massive and broad shoulders as through this exercise.

Execution of the exercise:

Sit with your back straight, grab the bar a little more than shoulder width with your forearms forward than in pronation position. The bar rests on the upper chest, ie in the clavicle region. When inhaling, lift the dumbbell slowly upwards. Exhale at the end of the movement.

These shoulder exercises mainly train:

  • Anterior and middle deltoids

This exercise can also be performed standing, but you have to pay close attention not to make a hollow back. If you lift the barbell upwards and keep your elbows together, you train more on the upper chest. If you keep the elbows apart, you train more the middle deltoid muscle. 3. Dumbbell Press

5. Front lifting barbell

You have a barbell in your hands, you grip it from above, the dumbbell rests on your mighty thighs. When inhaling, bring your arms up to eye level and then slowly release and exhale.
